My Passion for Photography began at a very early age, when my Mom gave me my first camera, a Brownie. I took pictures of everything and everyone.  My camera was my best friend. I have always had such a love for the arts and being able to express my creativity through my camera has always brought me such a sense of calm and contentment.

Once I had to get a job and be responsible, my picture taking wasn’t as frequent.  I retired in 2006 and in 2008 I decided to pursue my passion for photography and started Photography by Raphaela.  I specialize in Boutique Photography.  Besides Boutique Photography I also love fine art photography, urban photography, and nature photography.

Boutique Photography allows me to create a space that is relaxing for you, capturing your individuality.  My client is involved every step of the way, together creating a personal and striking image.  Although I specialize in Boutique Photography, my expertise is open to all of your needs.

The visual world excites me whether it's art or everyday life.  Creating a portrait, a landscape, urban art, or a fine art photograph is to capture the essence of life.

I love what I do, especially when I bring tears to Mom’s eyes when I show her the photos of her child, or when I capture Mom to be looking down at her belly and being so anxious to see her new born child, or the family portrait that will be cherished always.  These are the moments I love the most, because they are everlasting.  My only regret is that I didn’t pursue my love for photography 25 years ago.

I am thankful that I have been given the opportunity to follow my dream.
